We appreciate your positive feedback so much! We’ve changed up the tours and services we offer and so far, the response has been incredible!

While we no longer serve dinner on our cruises, we provide a fun-filled hourly sightseeing cruise on three smaller boats. In 2016, we opened Wilmington’s only floating restaurant, The River Grill on the Barge, that serves burgers, fries, ice cream, snacks and adult beverages. Guests are invited to dine on the barge or bring it with them on a cruise.

Every Tuesday night during Summer (weather depending), you can join us for a live “Murdery Mystery” show at The River Grille for just $15 for adults and $8 for kids.

Nice sightseeing cruise. Relaxing and very informative. Nice trip on the river.

Relaxing. Great on a hot day. Learned a bit about Wilmington while onboard. Not a whole lot to look at but I found it to be very relaxing and only $10. Covered boat so no need to worry about the sun beaming on you the entire time. Tour lasts an hour.

…They have a show every Tuesday $17 per adult. You can let them know ahead of time what show you watched last time so it’s not a repeat. Should book tickets ahead of time so you can let them know what show you have watched just in case.
The 3 actors did really well & got everyone involved. Lots of laughs!!!!! & the hour flew by.
You can order food from the River Grill. I personally didn’t but that’s because we had plans after the show.

“Fun water tour” My wife and I did a late afternoon water tour of the Cape Fear River. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the river and various landmarks and was very engaging and entertaining in his remarks. We could easily hear all of his comments over the loudspeakers. Drinks are available at the bar if needed. This tour is suitable for all ages and would recommend to others.

Fun tour, lots of information. Captain seemed like a friendly guy, stopped to talk to everyone. Well worth the 10 bucks. Do it!

“Awesome” Very, very good. Nice folks to work with. Very pleasant and thoroughly enjoyable!! I would say—GO!!! We went on the one hour tour around Wilmington and the next day went on the environmental tour up to the Black River.

This was a refreshing little sight seeing cruise that lasted one hour long and was well worth the price of $10 per person to ride! If you are going to be in that area then on the water is where you want to be and the J.N. Maffat is the boat to travel on!

“Simple Sunset Cruise” This was a good sunset cruise for the price. $10 was definitely worth the trip up and down the river. We did the 7:30 cruise. It was not too hot and the evening was a perfect time for a breezy trip down the river. The captain did a good job pointing out landmarks, and came out to answer questions for the people on board. Overall, it was $10 well spent for an anniversary trip with the hubby! The tour was just under an hour. Oh! And we stopped to get some butter pecan ice-cream as we boarded. Good stuff! 😉
