The best place to celebrate is, of course, downtown Wilmington, NC. There’s so much to do downtown and the day will end with a beautiful fireworks display over the Cape Fear River—don’t miss it!

Get a unique view of Wilmington, NC from the Cape Fear River. All Fourth of July weekend, Cape Fear Riverboats is offering scenic hour-long cruises on the Cape Fear. It’s the perfect opportunity to admire historic downtown Wilmington and catch a summer breeze out on the water.

Check our calendar for Cruise times July 1-3rd from 11:00am – 7:30pm.

Below is the schedule for Monday, July 4, 2016.

Daytime 1 hour Sightseeing Cruises, 2 boats, Captain Maffitt & John Knox ($10.00 per Adult – $5.00 children aged 2 to 12)

11:00am, 12:15pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm, 4:15pm, & 5:30pm

Evening 30-minute sightseeing cruises must be purchased at the ticket booth after 6:00pm on July 4th ($10.00 per ticket for all ages)

6:30pm, 7:00pm, 7:30pm

**If the Coast Guard doesn’t close the river at 8:00pm, we will do an 8:00 cruise too.

Check back for updates on evening cruises running before the 9 p.m. fireworks. Guests from those cruises will be invited to watch the fireworks from the dock – the BEST view of the Downtown Wilmington Fireworks! It’s a perfect way to end a Fourth of July in downtown Wilmington.

The River Grille is Now Officially Open

We’ve been working hard to get our floating River Grill ready, and we’re happy to say you can get a bite there for the Fourth of July! We have the best riverside burger in North Carolina. Or enjoy a hot dog, fries, onion rings, or snacks. Beer, wine, and soda will quench your Fourth of July summer thirst.

The River Grill is open from 11 a.m. until closing—closing times depend on the day and the weather. And we’ll be there to make sure don’t go hungry (or thirsty) on July 4th.

2016 Downtown Wilmington NC Fireworks Start at 9 p.m.

You’ll get a great view of Fourth of July fireworks from the River Grill—it’s a barge right on the Cape Fear river! Or take our cruise and watch the show dockside after your ride. Either way, you’re helping the U.S.A. celebrate with a grand fireworks display over the Cape Fear River in downtown Wilmington.
