The newest addition to Downtown’s bar scent is the Trolley Pub, that is a self propelled bar that allows guests to see the sites while enjoying a pint and burning some calories.

Whether you tour them all with the Trolley Pub, Event Shuttle Service, Port City Brew Bus, a walking tour, or visit them one by one at your leisure, you can be sure a Downtown Wilmington resident will investigate them all.

You never know what you’ll see arriving down the Cape Fear River

Every few years, we’ll see a new ship visiting our docks. In 2015, it was the El Galeon, a pirate shipped that drew thousands to the foot of the Cape Fear River.

It’s truly hard not to walk by without gasping with delight at the buttery, sugary, sweetness filling the air. And even though your will power to avoid going in over time will increase, the scent of fresh, hot waffle cones never gets old.

It’s easy to spot a visitor to the area. They are so appreciative of our surroundings and it’s impossible for them to leave without snapping a few pics in front of the Cape Fear River. We recommend they do it aboard one of our tour boats but there are many ideal backdrops along our award winning Cape Fear Riverwalk.

One Tree Hill finished their 9th season of filming back in 2012, but the memories live on for locals and visitors alike. The iconic, Karen’s Cafe, is now home to Outdoor Equipped.
