Spring is arriving early this year in Wilmington, NC! We’ve been busy at Cape Fear Riverboats, tidying and upfitting up our boats during the cold weather. We’re very excited about what’s happening with our newest boat, Jacob’s Run.
Named for the tunnel that runs beneath downtown Wilmington, Jacob’s Run has been running narrated sightseeing cruises on the Cape Fear River for nearly a year now. The 49-passenger boat is 50 feet long and 14 feet wide and came to us from New Hampshire, where it once gave history cruises along the coast. Along with the Captain J.N. Maffitt and the John Knox, Jacob’s Run also offers private charter cruises on the Cape Fear.

We’ve been carefully attending to renovations this winter so that Jacob’s Run is fitted out for dinner service. There will be room for 30 people at a seated dinner, or 49 people at a stand-up reception.
